Prices and paying
How much does a same-day van cost?
A small van from our depot to central Swindon is £65 ready now. To Glasgow it's £966 ready now, £966 if you plan ahead, or £725 on our Thursday route day. Prices depend on the miles and the van size.
What's the difference between ready now and plan ahead?
Ready now sends a van as soon as possible. Plan ahead books a van for a date and time you choose. If your date is flexible, the route day is the one that saves money.
Is VAT included?
Yes. Prices show VAT, fuel and £250 of cover. Business customers can switch the quote box to show prices without VAT, and every booking gets a VAT receipt.
How do I pay?
By card when you book. We place a hold for the amount and only charge it once a driver is confirmed.
What if you can't find a driver?
We release the hold on your card straight away and email you. You haven't paid anything.
Booking and timing
What is a route day?
Nearly every postcode area in mainland Britain has one weekday when our van is already there. Glasgow's is Thursday; the next is Thu 8 Oct. Booking that day costs 25% less than plan ahead because the van is shared.
How soon can you collect?
Ready now jobs in our home patch are usually collected within the hour. Elsewhere, allow about 75 minutes. Planned jobs are collected from the time you choose.
Can I book for a weekend?
Plan ahead works any day. Route days run Monday to Saturday.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Before a driver is confirmed it costs nothing. After that, see our terms: planned jobs can be cancelled free until 16:00 the working day before.
On the day
Will the driver help load?
Drivers load and unload what one person can safely lift. Anything heavier needs a second person at each end.
Can I track it?
Yes. Your confirmation email has a tracking link, and you get a photo when it is delivered.
What if nobody's in at delivery?
Tick 'leave in a safe place' when you book and we'll leave it and send a photo. Otherwise we'll call the contact, and bring it back if we can't deliver.
Cover and what we carry
Is my delivery insured?
Every job includes cover up to £250. Tell us the value when you book and we'll add cover for higher values; the price shows before you pay.
What can't you carry?
Glass, china, art, antiques, jewellery, watches, precious metals or stones, furs, cash or vouchers, prescription drugs, fragile or perishable goods, spirits or tobacco, firearms or flammables, animals and documents of title.
Who drives?
Our own vans take jobs in our home patch and on route days. Other jobs go to a vetted partner courier on the same terms and cover, and you track everything through us.
